🚀 Dear SelfKey Astronauts,
The recent data breaches in Yum! Brands🍕, TikTok, and Kodi have highlighted that cyberattacks are not limited to high-tech companies or powerful institutions. Data breaches occur daily, putting individuals at risk of losing valuable personal data with potentially dire consequences.
SelfKey is up to date with these privacy violations and is committed to utilizing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in decentralized solutions that may empower individuals to safeguard their private information.
Yum!Brands like KFC, TacoBell, and PizzaHut announced a data breach which divulged an unannounced number of employees' valuable data, such as names and drivers licenses. Even worse, TikTok’s data breach caused children’s personal data to be put at risk. And over 400,000 members of the Kodi forum have had their private conversations, emails, and passwords exposed after another recent cyberattack.
Data leakages occur on a daily basis at a global scale, posing a significant threat to the security of our valuable information. However, with the rapid evolution of AI, there is hope that these devastating events can be prevented. It's important to note that AI itself is not inherently malicious; it's how people utilize it that can make it extremely good or dangerously bad.
SelfKey uses the power of AI in its identity verification process to ensure the authenticity of members and to potentially create a safe environment for online interactions. Along with AI, SelfKey also uses Zero-Knowledge (ZK) filters to develop decentralized methods which may prevent data breaches in the future.
Not only that, but AI can fight against malicious AI to prevent identity theft or to detect fake, AI-generated identities. If used for good purposes, AI can be a highly valuable asset in securing our private information online, along with decentralized systems.

📰 Amazon jumps into the generative A.I. race with new cloud service and its own large language models
Amazon is introducing Bedrock, a cloud service that allows developers to enhance their software with AI-generated text, similar to the technology behind Microsoft-backed startup OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot.
Amazon's Bedrock will offer access to its own language models called Titan, as well as models from startups AI21 and Anthropic (backed by Google), and Stability AI. The move puts Amazon in competition with Google and Microsoft, who have also begun offering large language models to developers.
