This past month has seen important updates for both the Mobile Wallet and the Desktop Wallet. We’re excited have brought you some great new features to both iterations of the SelfKey Wallet that increase functionality. Additionally, we also released some great new content for you on cryptocurrency lending and DeFi.
The Mobile Wallet now has a number of exciting new features thanks to the latest update. Mobile Wallet V 0.3.13 now includes the SelfKey ID which allows you to register for and access service providers listed in the Marketplace or integrated with Login with SelfKey.
Another exciting new feature is that you can now unlock the Mobile Wallet with your biometrics! Once your account is set up on the Mobile Wallet, you now have the option to login with your fingerprint if you use an Android device. For iOS devices, you can now login with FaceID and TouchID. This is a feature that the community has shown great interest in, and we are delighted to be able to bring it to you now.
Lastly, you can now import your wallet using your seed phrase. This is particularly convenient when you want to have access to your tokens and identity documents from a new device.
Additionally, we launched V 1.6.3 of the Desktop Wallet! This new update fixes bugs in send transaction screens and most importantly, auto update. Along with our updates to the Mobile Wallet last week, this has been a great period of development for the SelfKey Wallet and we’re excited to keep bringing you new improvements.
Please note that if you are using V 1.6.0 of the Desktop Wallet, your wallet will not automatically update to V 1.6.3 and you may get an error message when you login. As a result, if you are using V 1.6.0 you will need to update your Desktop Wallet manually by clicking here.
